Jack Roe USA is the proud distributor for Cinemeccanica in North America. We supply all current Cinemeccanica equipment and keep in stock a large supply of Cinemeccanica parts and spares.
Our booth supplies include a full range of specialist film joining tape (manufactured by Jack Roe (CS) Limited in the UK & first supplied into the USA in 1994), film leaders, platter accessories, lens cleaner and tissues. We have a full range of film cleaning products, quality carbons, xenon bulbs/lamps, splicers and parts, oils and test films. We are also proud to supply Arkon units for the hearing impaired and Koala products.
Cinemeccanica of Milan, Italy, has been serving the industry since the 1920s with world-renowned and innovative high quality cinema equipment and parts. Making the transition from the world of 35mm to one of digital content, Cinemeccanica launched their CMC3-D2 digital cinema projector through Jack Roe USA in North America and Canada.
Jack Roe started his UK-based cinema services & supplies company in the 1920s. Originally he serviced and repaired equipment on the London West end circuit and sold some sundry cinema supplies to cinemas as they needed them.The company grew and was passed onto his surviving son, Ronald Roe. The range and volume of supplies increased and the company became synonymous with quality at an affordable price. Ron always had friends in the industry and between their suggestions and his ideas new products were launched and solutions to new problems found as new challenges arose. Ron helped to develop the name of the company as the foremost British cinema supplies company and built lasting relationships with the UK circuits of the time.
Brian and Juliet Roe are now the company's directors and developments have led to an increasing market in the States.
Thousands of screens across the United States use supplies from Jack Roe's extensive range of products. The company was set up under the direction of the greatly respected first CEO Dave Bevilacqua. Sadly in June 2005 Dave Bevilacqua passed away. This was a terrible shock and loss to the industry as a whole and to many individuals within it. The responses and sentiments that we received following this tragic event were overwhelming and we thank all of those who passed on their respects and we pass on our best wishes to everyone who knew him.
In November 2005 Alan Roe transferred from the UK company to help his colleagues in Nashville. Since then the hard work started by Dave has been continued by those in the US as the company grows and develops. Jack Roe USA now offers a greater range of products than ever before and continues to work closely with the UK company in helping to develop new products.
The JACRO catalogue has been constantly developed since its conception 50 years ago. It was created by Ronald Roe as a method of reaching his customers after the Second World War when there were neither the time nor the resources to visit them all.
Sadly Ron has since passed away but his timeless creation still adorns many projection rooms around the uk and abroad. The catalogue has been copied, but never bettered. Our catalogue is always up to date with the latest developments in the world of cinema supplies. Our own products are only available within the uk through our own catalogue. This includes T-Stripe marking tape, TapoS, many trailers and other products. Occasionally we meet a projectionist who has not heard of us but it is rare. Over the years our customers have been the first to benefit from our products (such as high density spacing all those many years ago) which is still as true today as it was 75 years ago.
