IR SYSTEMS FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED

Auditorium IR broadcast systems are ideal for providing support to the hearing impaired and alternative language soundtrack support.

ARKON SINGLE CHANNEL IR SYSTEM

The Arkon 2.8Mhz single channel infrared hearing impaired system is Jack Roe USA's most popular Arkon IR system. The units are both reliable and straightforward to install. With a single channel Arkon system an auditorium can offer either assistance to the hearing impaired or alternatively second-language support. The system operates at 2.8MHz and has a response range of 50Hz-12kHz. The Arkon system is single-channel and operates in mono.

It is recommended that 1 x SPVMNT wall mount is ordered with each Arkon unit. The SIP281PS is required only as a back-up or replacement power supply as each Arkon transmitter includes its own power supply.

ARKON DUAL CHANNEL IR SYSTEM

The Arkon 2.3MHz/2.8MHz dual channel infrared hearing impaired system offers the same reliability and ease of use as the single-channel system but allows for dual mono track broadcast. This is most commonly used for a combination of one native track for the hearing impaired and one alternative language channel. For English-language films this allows patrons not fluent in English to visit the theater or alternatively allows foreign-language films to be screened with optional English dubbing. The broadcast channels are 2.3MHz and 2.8Mhz and the system has a frequency response of 50Hz-12MHz.
